  • Work with reporters and editors to get scoops, as well as conceptualize and publish intelligent, high-impact news

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • Minimum of five years of business journalism experience, with editing and management experience a plus

This reporter/anchor should be someone who is comfortable asking tough but fair questions. This journalist must be able to work with producers to develop smart and engaging newscasts. We are looking for someone who understands the "why" behind stories and excels at impact journalism. This position is a newsroom leader who will be one of the faces of the station in charge of developing contacts and relationships in the community enabling them to create and present unique, compelling, and innovative stories of interest. This position requires a strong work ethic, broad knowledge of current affairs and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. In addition, this reporter/anchor must develop sources, and be as comfortable in the digital world as they are in broadcasting.

This is a unique opportunity will allow the journalist to anchor one day a week and report four days during the week. Experience with investigative reporting is a plus.

  • Anchor one weekend evening a week

Qualifications & Experience

Your Role Accountabilities
OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Project/production management of WBD in-house live events such as Global Town Halls, conferences, screenings, and "VIP" presentations. Utilizing our own audio and video equipment, microphone and speaker systems, projection, and video monitoring, provide all A/V related functions for in-house events. As required, provide expertise to the end user about capabilities of our systems; manage the A/V portion of the event; as well as staging and lighting set up.
  • Act as a liaison to Corporate Communications for in-house events or advising external vendors Assist in establishing and coordinating the project plan for migration of the project into production.
  • Provide 2nd Tier customer support to end users for conference room and high-end specialty room viewing/screening equipment.

The Broadcast Associate will be responsible for a variety of production responsibilities to support our game and studio coverage. Responsibilities include coordinating graphics on live game broadcasts and studio shows, as well as sport specific research, not limited to but including *** and college football, college basketball, and PGA Tour golf. The Broadcast Associate will also be involved with obtaining, organizing, and logging video footage for use in shows and other production elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Research ideas and statistics that would make for interesting, storytelling graphics on live game telecasts.
  • Oversee building of graphics from start to finish, including editorial content, layout and accuracy.

  • Help organize, screen and log videotape for use in broadcasts.
  • Assist Producers and Associate Directors with edits and other production content.

Basic Qualifications:
